Fiber-optic sensing is very attractive solution for chemical sensor,
biomedical sensor, strain sensor, pressure sensor, and so on because it
provides advantages such as immunity from EMI (electromagnetic interference),
high sensitivity, high dynamic range, multiplexibility, small volume, and
ease of access to sensing target. FIBERPRO's activities in this field are
focused on inventing practical and reliable sensing system. The first result
of such efforts is Fiber Bragg Grating Interrogator (FBGI) called IS7000
specialized for monitoring wavelengths of multiple fiber Bragg gratings.
This system is very powerful tools for structural health monitoring, surveillance
and safety system, and environment science.
